Watch is the clock

In my very first blog entry I talked about the pointless invesment of a smart watch. After a few years theses watches lose all their value while standard watches remain profitable.

Since that day I thought about investing into a real watch.

Without knowledge I searched for brands that cover my budget. Still there were thousands of different models.

Some were looking really silly and others were looking pretty neat but somehow cheap.

I don't really know what's important and while checking on some other brands an idea struck my head.

25 years ago I got a watch, back then it was just too huge for my arm.

So I never used it.

The watch was a gift from my grandmother who passed away last year.

Meaning it's a gift I will never sell but still I wanted to know if this had a value.

I searched for the name of the watch and found her. Turned out it was a special version from the 90s and it still had a value. The value was as high as my budget for a new watch.

See? A 25 year old watch still has its value while a smart watch will have zero value 25 years from now.

I decided I would wear my old watch.

First of all I'm going to bring her back to life and change the wristband.

The yellow color just doesn't suit me. Despite everything, the wristband will stay with me because the value of the watch depends on it.
