Addiction

Poison for your mind or for your body can be  everything but an addiction is always a key element.

Drugs or Alcohol are probably the biggest addictions around the world.

For me personally, it's sugar.


I always loved sweet things and I didn't really thought about the outcome.

Until 3 months ago, I had to do a blood sample and the sugar value was way too high (other values too). My doctor told me that if I continue like that, I'm going to have a lot of issues starting with 40 years.

It won't be hard to stay away from sugar, I told myself. But we have 2 kids and there is a drawer filled with lots of candys. On top of that we just had Christmas.

I'll always went to the drawer and opened it. Then I reminded myself that I can't eat the sugar and closed it.

5mins later I did the same thing.

It's like my brain tells me that I need sugar and when I nearly put my hands on something, my conscience kicks in.

Still there are moments when I eat something sweet / a day.

It became way less but the addiction is still strong.


For exemple, drinking only water is pretty boring. But think about it, is it really worth your healthy life? There are alternatives with "zero" sugar in it but still with sweetener. Water has always 0 sugar.

Be boring, drink water.
